Dr. Dorothy O. Rombo

Dorothy O. Rombo holds a Ph.D in Family Social science and a minor in family policy from the University of Minnesota, twin cities. Originally from Kenya where she obtained her Bachelor and master degrees in Education at Kenyatta University, Nairobi.

She is an associate professor of Human Development and Family Studies in the department of Human Ecology at the State University of New York in Oneonta.

Her research interest is on the wellbeing of vulnerable populations. She looks into how the characteristics influence interactions with the ecological contexts to determine the wellbeing of African families, African immigrant individuals and families, women and children from the same groups.
