About us

Facilitating access to resources for the vulnerable to thrive

Founded in 2005, ANDI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being and quality of life of vulnerable populations, with a particular focus on African immigrant individuals and families. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, ANDI works to connect underserved communities with essential resources and opportunities that promote stability, empowerment, and long-term success.

Recognizing the growing disparities in socioeconomic status, employment, education, and healthcare access, ANDI has expanded its programs and services to address emerging community needs. Today, our initiatives encompass community-based research, disability education and awareness, arts education, counseling services, and other supportive programs designed to foster inclusion, resilience, and equitable access to opportunities for all.

Our Vision, Mission & Core Values

Our vision is to give hope to the hopeless through our support services in the programs we run. Through collaborative efforts with partners, we strive to see human dignity upheld in various systems. In other words, we work to make the vulnerable thrive in society and not just survive. Our work helps to bridge the gap in disparities that the underserved communities experience. We envision a community where the less privileged individuals have access to the resources and services they need to succeed in life.

Facilitating access to resources and empowering communities to thrive.

  • Respect and reciprocity in partnerships and collaboration.

  • Humanizing our humanity.

  • The respect of the inalienable rights of humans.

  • Co-leadership and communal good.

  • Social justice, equity,  fairness, inclusion, accommodation tolerance and acceptance.

  • Compassion.
