Jessica Harrison

Jessica is an undergraduate student at Winona State University pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies while also obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is excited to join the ANDI team as a Grant and Development Writing intern because of her previous work researching and writing about health disparities among people of color in the health care system. Her family originates from Ghana in West Africa and ANDI’s mission to help African immigrants is something close to her heart. She believes that serving the ANDI team will be a great way to help those in her community right here in Minnesota while gaining vital skills she can take with her anywhere. Jessica hopes that this opportunity will be a steppingstone to merge both degrees and hopefully make a difference for African Americans in the future.
