Science and Engineering Workshop for K–12 Children and Families

The Africa Network for Development Incorporated (ANDI) invites families to participate in an engaging Science and Engineering Workshop designed for K–12 children and their families. This hands-on learning experience is created to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
During the workshop, children will take part in innovative, age-appropriate engineering experiments that bring science concepts to life. Using simple, everyday materials, participants will explore how things work through guided, interactive activities that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking. These experiments are designed not only to be educational but also fun and accessible for learners of all levels.
A key goal of this workshop is to help children apply classroom knowledge in real-world situations. By actively building, testing, and experimenting, participants will strengthen their understanding of scientific principles while developing confidence in their ability to ask questions, think creatively, and find solutions. Families are encouraged to learn alongside their children, reinforcing the importance of shared learning and support at home.
This event reflects ANDI’s commitment to working with families to thrive, empowering young learners and equipping parents and caregivers with tools to support STEM learning beyond the classroom.
Whether your child is already interested in science and engineering or just beginning to explore these fields, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to learn, grow, and be inspired.
